Charlotte's 1st Birthday!

I'm back again...thoroughly enjoying my Christmas Break because I've gotten to do a lot of scrapbooking/card making, posting on my blog, reading, and relaxing.  I'm extremely sad that it has to come to an end in a day and a half.

Anyways, my niece, Charlotte, turns 1 on January 8th and her party is TODAY (in Massachusetts). Wish we lived closer!

Inspiration for this card came from The Paper Craft Crew #74.

Paper:  Card Stock ~ Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, & Daffodil Delight
DSP ~ Smoky Slate and Basic Gray
 Ink:  Elegant Eggplant
Stamps:  Bring on the Cake
Ribbon:  Daffodil Delight 1/4" Grosgrain
Framelits & Punches:   Deco Labels framelits, petite punch (can't remember the name), & one of my Cricut cartridges to make the "1st"
Embellishments:  gray buttons, rhinestones, and stampin' dimensionals

My Niece's Letters

My 2nd niece, Charlotte, was born in January!  However, my sister and brother-in-law didn't want to find out the gender nor tell us a name, so I couldn't make the letters to spell her name early.  After working on them this summer and off again/on again over the fall weekends, I was finally able to finish them up at the end of October.  However, my sister needed the "C" for a professional photo shoot and I forgot to take a picture before mailing it to her.

As soon as I get a picture of the "C" and the full name hanging on the wall, I will update this post. For now...here are the letters:

Piper's 3rd Birthday!

I can't believe my niece is turning THREE today!  Where has the time gone?  I only wish I was able to celebrate her special day with her, but unfortunately, we live in different states.  So, here's the card I made for her!

Harper's Letters

Wow!  It has been a long time since I have posted anything!  Once school starts, life gets really crazy!

A colleague at work just had her 2nd baby and asked me to create letters for the baby's room since I created letters for her older daughter.  Using colors from the crib and nursery, here are the results:

Congrats, Natalie!

Mother's Day/Mom's Birthday

Hello Blog World,

Now that it is summertime, I am having a BLAST scrapbooking again.  I just finished two wonderful "Holiday Project" camps with 11-12 year old girls.  We made a variety of projects for the girls to recreate for their friends and loved ones (sorry...forgot to take pictures).

And...I had time to finally make my mom's birthday/mother's day present to go along with a gift card I gave her.  Sorry, it's sooo late, mom, but you know how crazy the month of May is for me!

I was inspired by an idea presented in March 2012 Stampin' Up's Success catalog we get as demonstrators...they had a version of these "Mom" blocks, but of course, I had to embellish it my own way.  Here's the result:

BTW--my mom LOVES them!

Paper:   Twitterpated DSP, Baja Breeze CS, Pear Pizazz CS, Red Riding Hood CS, Basic Gray CS, Blushing Bride CS, and Indigo Island CS
Ink and Ribbon:  Baja Breeze, Pear Pizazz, Red Riding Hood, Basic Gray, Blushing Bride, and Indigo Island ink pads to distress the edges, Versa Mark ink pad, and Blushing Bride pleated ribbon
Stamps & Punches:  Mixed Bunch stamp set, Papillon Potpourri stamp set, Blossom punch, Scallop Oval punch, Elegant Butterfly punch, and Modern Label punch
Embellishments:  Stampin' Up's wood blocks (pack of 4), White Embossing Powder and heat tool, Polka Dots Embossing Folder using the Big Shot, Stampin' dimensionals, Pearls, Rhinestones, buttons, a straight pin, and my Cricut with Cuttin' Up cartridge for the letters

Happy Counselor's Week!

This is Counselor's Week and I was inspired by a variety of things (a blog challenge...HSS Anything but a Card Challenge #103, a scrapbook club gift, and Pinterest) to make this special gift for my two favorite counselors!  Enjoy, ladies!

It's a small pink pail from a local craft store with tons of "pretty ribbon" on the handles.  I used the Hearts framelits, patterned paper, the true friend stamp from the Punch Bunch stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink, and of course, rhinestones!

And...inside are homemade chocolate chip cookies with brown ribbon to tie them up, everyone's favorite peanut butter cups, and shredded paper in red, white, and pink!

Letters by Me!

One of my favorite pasttimes is to create "letters" for my friends' children.  It all began last summer when my niece was born and I decided to scrapbook letters to spell her first name.  Then, a good friend was having a baby and as a baby shower/baby arrival gift, I scrapbooked letters for her daughter's first name.  They became sooo popular, that I am now making letters for many of my colleagues and friends!  They have turned out really well, so I thought I'd share!

So far, I have done only letters for girls and my inspiration comes from their bedrooms...I ask my clients for pictures of the bedrooms and draw my ideas from those.  I created the following pictures within the past couple of months for 2 sisters under the age of 5 and a baby born in the spring!

Ella's room was full of bold colors with polka dots and stripes, so here's what I created.

Emma's room was filled with pastels and whimsical designs, so here's my creation:

I also completed letters for a colleague who had a baby this past spring.  The baby's crib decor is filled with many colors, so I created these letters for baby Sloan!

And here's the final product above Sloan's crib!
