Christmas 2011 Goodies

Wow!  Where does the time go?  I've spent the past few weeks scraping away to create goodies for my students, room parents, administration, teammates, and last, but not least, FAMILY!  Here are all of my creations for Christmas 2011!

I decided to continue a tradition started by my grandparents when I was born to pass along to my niece, Piper, in a slightly different form.  My grandparents handcrafted ornaments each year since we were born up until we were 18 (I think!).  So, I decided to create ornaments using scrapbooking techniques.  A good friend of mine suggested I make a box for her to store them in year after year, so here are last year's Christmas ornament, this year's Christmas ornament, and the box from different viewpoints!

I wanted to include something personal for Piper when she gets older, so here's the poem I created on the inside lid of the box.

Here are the ornaments I made for my family and teammates using glass balls, scrapbook paper rolled up, ribbon, and a tag (thanks Pinterest for the idea)!

And finally, I created cute little bags with yummy chocolates inside using all SU products for my room parents and administration (Thanks goes to my good friend, Erica for the idea at our monthly stamp club!).  And it wouldn't be complete without a little ornament attached.

Letters by Me!

One of my favorite pasttimes is to create "letters" for my friends' children.  It all began last summer when my niece was born and I decided to scrapbook letters to spell her first name.  Then, a good friend was having a baby and as a baby shower/baby arrival gift, I scrapbooked letters for her daughter's first name.  They became sooo popular, that I am now making letters for many of my colleagues and friends!  They have turned out really well, so I thought I'd share!

So far, I have done only letters for girls and my inspiration comes from their bedrooms...I ask my clients for pictures of the bedrooms and draw my ideas from those.  I created the following pictures within the past couple of months for 2 sisters under the age of 5 and a baby born in the spring!

Ella's room was full of bold colors with polka dots and stripes, so here's what I created.

Emma's room was filled with pastels and whimsical designs, so here's my creation:

I also completed letters for a colleague who had a baby this past spring.  The baby's crib decor is filled with many colors, so I created these letters for baby Sloan!

And here's the final product above Sloan's crib!

Creative Crafting Camp Day 1 Done!

Hi Blog Friends!  I'm back with pictures of our projects for today's camp.  The girls had a FABULOUS time and really enjoyed what we created today.  Can't wait to see what they think of tomorrow's projects.

Here are the samples I made for the girls to "mirror"!

"Beach in a Jar" (show to us by my fabulous friend, Erica, from Pink Buckaroo Designs).  I just adapted it slightly and had to put a picture of the cutest baby in the whole wide world, my niece, PIPER at her first airplane show!

Sneak Peak!

Hi everyone!  I have been really busy in my scrapbook room since early this morning making fun crafty items for my 10-12 year olds Creative Crafting camp next week!

Here's a sneak peak at some of the items we will be making!

This is a 8 x 10" photo frame purchased at our local craft store for a very reasonable price.  I decided to use this week's Inkspirations sketch challenge #73 (turned vertically though).

And...one of my favorites so far...Medium Pail bucket that can be used to store anything and everything for kids/pre-teen girls (also found at our local craft store)!

And here's the top!

Check back later this weekend and I just might have another sneak peek to show you!
Happy Scrapin'!!!
