Cards for Various Occasions

Wow!  What a crazy few months this has been.  Teaching always keeps me busy, but with new technology I'm integrating, it takes a tiny bit longer to prepare and execute.  Wouldn't trade it for the world though!

So, between my last post and now, I've made a couple of cards and lots of projects.  I can't remember all of the color and/or sketch challenge inspirations or the materials I used to make these cards, so I will just share the pictures.

This card was for my teammate and friend's birthday!

This card was for a coworker's baby "boy" shower!

Baby Shower Card

Hi Blog World,

I'm back with another baby shower card...our workplace is booming and keeping my cardmaking afloat!  Today's inspirations came from Card Patterns Sketch #163 and CR84FN Color Challenge.  Unfortunately, the picture was taken at night and doesn't really do the card justice.

Paper:   Pastel Pink and Blue, Kraft, Whisper White, and Twitterpated DSP

 Ink and Ribbon:  Marina Mist ink pad, rosey colored scallop ribbon, pink twine, and light pink fibers

Stamps & Punches:  Punch Bunch stamp set and Pennant Punch

Embellishments:  stampin' dimensionals and mini library clip

Baby Boy

I'm back with another card!  This time it is for a baby boy's shower for a colleague at work. I'm sooo excited because I bought my first sewing machine and had my mom and grandma teach me how to sew just so I can add sewing to my scrapbooking.  I used my sewing machine for my very first time on the card below and I think it turned out okay.  I have LOTS to learn though!!! I enjoyed using the Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #245 and the colors from CCMC191.  Thanks for the inspiration! 

Paper:  SU DSP, Island Indigo, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, and Whisper White card stock

 Ink and Ribbon: Island Indigo ink and ribbon with white fibers

Stamps & Punches: Sweetness Unlimited stamp, Scallop Oval punch, and Decorative Label punch
Embellishments:  Twitterpated fabric sewn on, library clip, and mini brads

SSSC114--Baby Shower

Tonight I also created a special baby shower card for a colleague of mine who's having a girl.  I used the Sweet Sunday Challenge for the sketch and the Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge for the colors.  Enjoy!

Paper:  Stampin' Up Simply Scrappin', So Saffron, Early Espresso, and Pink Pirouette

 Ink and Ribbon: Marina Mist, variety of SU marker colors, and Certainly Celery

Stamps & Punches:  Sweetness Unlimited, A Slice of Life, and Decorative Label Punch

Embellishments: pearlized brad, pearls, library clip, and fibers
